AP Mentoring is an online teacher-to-teacher professional support program that allows teachers looking to enhance their instruction to work with experienced teachers who have a record of classroom success. The program is offered in the following subjects: AP Computer Science A, AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature and Composition, AP U.S. Government and Politics, and AP U.S. History. AP Mentoring offers two options:

  • Offers 10 sessions, hosted throughout the school year
  • Provides timely support, from assistance with syllabus and lesson plan refinement to tips for maintaining student engagement, to exam preparation
  • Offers 4 sessions, hosted between January and May
  • Focuses on helping teachers prepare students to take the AP Exam

  • All sessions take place via video chat
  • Mentee teacher time commitment is no more than two hours per month – sessions are one hour long, with no more than an hour of reflection and preparation between each
  • AP Mentors are selected from the national pool of experienced AP teachers through a rigorous application process. They are trained to support your teachers and provided with a flexible curriculum.
